At the age of 21 years, I was physically disabled to such an extent that I walked with the aid of a cane, and continued to do so until I was 35 years old. By developing the Postureflex concept I was able to recover my ability to walk without a limp. At first my movements were anything but graceful. Eventually my movements became increasingly fluid to the point that I was resolved to do everything physical I had missed doing throughout my youth. Since my late thirties I have run half-marathons, skated in 100 mile races, ridden a bicycle across Western Europe, motorcycled to Alaska, and even learned to box. In other words, since I regained my ability to walk without the aid of a cane I have never looked back - only towards a pain-free and physically challenging future. Though I do not consider myself a fine athlete, I have been able to participate in physical activities that would have been impossible for me to even dream of doing during the years when I was physically incapacitated. |
